Experience the Future

We've brought the latest technology, services, design, and practices out of the lab and built them into a model office, making it possible to experience firsthand the future workplace.

Innovation use cases on display at our interactive learning centers

Automated Health Check

Delivered by: Proxy

Employees and visitors use the Proxy digital identity to activate the health check. Employees answer a daily risk questionnaire, which is critical because temperature is often a lagging indicator of infection, and then have their temperature measured to ensure they are below the 100.4F threshold before being allowed into the office. Placement of the iPad is ergonomically optimized to allow for accurate readings of people of most heights (5’0 - 6’8). Notice the temperature camera does not face a window, avoiding sun interference and ensuring more accurate readings.

Mud Room

Delivered by: Gensler & One Workplace

This design innovation creates a hygienic barrier between the outside world and the interior of the office.  Visitors may not pass into the office interior until they have completed the Health check and sanitized their hands.

Health Screening Lounge

Delivered by: Gensler & One Workplace

This design innovation creates an emotionally sensitive and privacy preserving environment for employees and visitors to do their daily health checks prior to entering the office. Notice that comfortable seating is provided so people have a place to wait up to 5 minutes to shed radiant energy from the sun in order to obtain an accurate temperature check, and that a barrier is placed between the seating area and health check to offer privacy to those doing their health checks.

Touchless Access

Delivered by: Proxy

Using the Proxy ID app, employees and visitors can gain access to the workplace by waiving their phone near the Bluetooth-enabled door sensor, triggering it to open without touching a reader or the door handle, eliminating the most common community touchpoint and preventing surface (fomite) viral spread.

Touchless Printing

Delivered by: Proxy

Using the Proxy ID app, employees can trigger a print job by waiving their phone near the Bluetooth-enabled printer sensor, triggering it to open without touching a reader or the printer, eliminating the most common community touchpoint and preventing surface (fomite) viral spread.

Occupancy Check-In

Delivered by: Proxy

Using the Proxy ID app, employees and visitors check-in to a community space with a predefined maximum occupancy by waiving their phone by the iPad sensor.  The iPad will inform the person if the space is over or under capacity and they can proceed if under, enabling employers to gently enforce social distancing requirements via occupancy limits.

Remote Employee Optimization

Delivered by: Accenture & Bluejeans

Remote employees often have a hard time participating in group meetings that are hosted in the office.  Using Accenture’s real-time whiteboard cameras, remote employees can see what’s being diagramed on the conference whiteboard in real-time, ensuring full information sharing.  With BlueJeans’ Dolby acoustic technology, which normalizes audio from loud/soft speakers and from speakers near/far from the microphone, remote employees can actually hear everyone’s comments and fully participate in group dialog.

Just-in-time Hotel Desk Cleaning

Delivered by: Accenture, Condeco, and Rigado

With most workplaces going hybrid (employees mixing remote and in-office work), a 1-to-1 employee to desk ratio is no longer needed.  With Condeco’s desk booking system, employees can easily book a desk for a day, an hour, or anything in between.  Accenture’s integration of Condeco’s desk booking with Rigado’s infrared sensors at each desk, enables the system to automatically sense when a booking time has lapsed and the desk is no longer occupied, triggering a notification to the cleaning crew.  Condeco only allows the desk to be rebooked once the desk has been cleaned, ensuring employees have access to hygienic deskspace and preventing surface (fomite) viral spread.

Wireless Device Charging

Delivered by: Chargifi

With most workplaces going hybrid (employees mixing remote and in-office work), a 1-to-1 employee to desk ratio is no longer needed. Chargifi embeds wireless charging devices under the surface of desks, enabling employees to charge their devices without a dedicated wired charger. This makes it easier for employees to stay charged and productive even when using a hotel desk that doesn’t have their personal chargers attached and eliminates the need to use shared chargers, preventing surface (fomite) viral spread.

Digital Welcome Screens

Delivered by: Accenture and Proxy

Using Bluetooth technology, a sensor behind a wall-mounted monitor detects an employee or visitor entering the workspace and greets them with a personalized message.  The screen displays useful information, such as a notification if your closest colleagues are in the building, calendar information, and navigation to your booked rooms and desks. Additionally, the system will advertise relevant events, local dining option, and provide insight into live building telemetry such as air quality, temperature and CO2 levels.

Organic CO2 Filtration and Interior Design

Delivered by: Biome

Biome’s self-contained plant walls add a gorgeous design element to the office and bring a sense of wellbeing to the workplace. Further, the organic materials actively purify the air of CO2, enabling better brain function and concentration.

Occupancy Visualization and Heat Map

Delivered by: Accenture and Proxy

Accenture collects real-time, anonymized data from Proxy sensors dispersed throughout the workplace and overlays this on top of it’s “Digital Twin” map of the workplace. This enables workplace managers to visualize the dispersion of people, in both 2D and 3D, in real-time across the office. Accenture provides workplace heat maps so employers can understand and optimize workspace utilization and disperse resources or stagger employee in-office times to enable adherence to occupancy limits and social distancing.

Testing + Emotional and Psychological Services

Delivered by: Sequoia Consulting

A positive COVID-19 test, or even symptoms indicating possible infection can cause stress, especially for those at high-risk or those care for high-risk family members at home. Upon exhibiting symptoms, employees are directed to testing locations supported by their health plan via the Sequoia app. If an employee has a positive COVID-19 test they are kindly directed to care.  Beyond medical services, employees are offered options for emotional and psychological assistance, which are often overlooked but frequently needed. Employees may also book an ad-hoc virtual employee assistance program session directly within the app.

Air Purification

Delivered by: Molekule

Molekule’s Photo Electrochemical Oxidation (PECO) utilizes free radicals to break down pollutants at a molecular level, including VOCs, bacteria, mold, viruses, and allergens. By using nanotechnology, PECO is able to destroy pollutants 1000 times smaller than the standard filters must meet to qualify as HEPA.  Molekule’s Air Pro RX is intended for medical purposes to destroy bacteria & viruses in the air and can be deployed alongside Molekule’s other air purification systems in the workplace to minimize the likelihood of infection in the workplace.
